Power Recovery
Using technology provided by American Power Conversion as an intermediate solution to our
natural gas power generator, power for the Colchis Network Operations Center is a sure thing.
Our Network Operations Center is housed in a building situated on dual power grids. If one grid fails, the power switches
to the other available power grid. The center is further protected by being
located in an area where all of the power is delivered underground, which makes the
likelihood of
power failure due to ice, wind, and other natural causes very rare.
Colchis relies on a Matrix 5000 system for every 5 Sun servers as an intermediate backup solution in the event
of power failure. Such a solution provides up to 2 hours of backup power before resources are depleted.
Network operations,
routers, switches, and other essential devices are fed off of separate APC battery backup
system. |
