Perl
Perl, or Practical Extraction Recursive Language, has become one of the most popular server-side scripting languages
available today. Perl is used in a wide variety of applications, and is commonly used for website applications.
Colchis
maintains the latest version of Perl on all webservers and has installed commonly requested Perl modules.
Through the Personal Control Panel, virtual server clients can install popular Perl scripts on their account with the click
of a few buttons. Such scripts include unlimited guestbooks, bulletin boards,
Free-For-All links, random image and sound
scripts, and form mailer programs.
Colchis maintains more Perl modules that most other webhosting companies. Perl modules allow you to extend the scripting
capabilities of Perl and do specialized functions with the code. There are currently
over 500 Perl modules installed on each webservers.
